The Park officially opened in June 2009. The original planting is growing steadily and the range of wild flowers and wildlife is increasing.

Hartwell pocket park is managed by a working group of the Parish Council and volunteers from Hartwell Parish. In June 2007 the land owned by the Parish Council was set aside for transformation into a Pocket Park.

Local funding from Northamptonshire County Council, South Northants Council and Hartwell Parish Council has allowed the development of this field into a park. The 5 year management plan sets out the first steps required to fulfil the aims and objectives.
